Resurfacing on US-278 near Jones Chapel to begin

A $2.4 million resurfacing project on US-278 near Jones Chapel in Cullman County will begin next week.

Weather permitting, contractor Grayson Carter and Son will start work Monday, May 11.

The project will resurface nearly eight miles of US-278 from the Winston County line to CR-867. ALDOT anticipates completion in mid- to late summer.

ALDOT advises drivers to expect single-lane closures with traffic directed by pilot vehicles or flaggers.
