An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) project on SR-53 (US-231) in Pike County begins Monday, June 22, weather permitting.
The project will take place on SR-53 from the junction of SR-93 to the junction of Veterans Boulevard in Brundidge, a span of 2.593 miles.
The project includes resurfacing, micro-milling and traffic striping.
The approximately $1.6 million project was awarded to APAC-Alabama, Inc. and is expected to be completed by fall 2026.
