The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to resurface and install guardrail on US-43 from the Lake Tuscaloosa Bridge to south of Northside Road to improve mobility and safety.
The 5.4-mile project is expected to begin Tuesday, June 30 and will continue until fall, weather permitting. A pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone.
Drivers should expect possible delays and are encouraged to observe work-zone speed limits.
S.T. Bunn Construction Company was awarded the project at $2.72 million.
