The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is advising motorists of a superload moving on US-84 that is expected to take place Wednesday, July 8th and Thursday, July 9th. The movements are expected to take place during lower-volume traffic times.

These superloads will be transported from a barge in Jackson to a site off CR-39 near Claiborne. Motorists can expect delays on US-84 to take place sometime between 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. on July 8 and July 9.

The transportation of these superloads will begin at a barge in Jackson and affect 12 miles on US-43 north. Once the superload reaches the US-84 exit in Grove Hill, it will travel 19.5 miles southeast until it reaches CR-39 (Lena Landegger Hwy).

Motorists are encouraged to visit ALDOTNews.com, ALGOtraffic.com, and ALDOT’s social media pages for the latest traffic updates.
