Resurfacing of 1.5 miles of SR-17/Helton Drive in Florence will begin the evening of Sunday, Sept. 27, weather permitting.
During the $845,000 project, contractor Rogers Group will mill and resurface SR-17 from Hermitage Drive to SR-133/Cox Creek Parkway.
Night work
To minimize traffic impacts, most work will take place at night. Expect single-lane closures between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Sunday through Thursday nights.
ALDOT anticipates completion in late fall.
