Roundabout opening Wednesday at US-80 and Marler Road

Mar 24, 2026

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will shift traffic at US-80 and Marler Road in Pike Road into a roundabout configuration on Wednesday, March 25.

Last month traffic was shifted to allow crews to safely complete construction of the north side of the roundabout.

Crews will still be working on the center island and preparing for final paving and permanent striping.

Watch our short “ALDOT Zero to 60” video for tips on navigating a roundabout and their safety benefits. You can find more infomation by visiting ALDOT News.

ALDOT urges drivers to adhere to the reduced speed limit and be mindful around people and equipment in the work zone.

The contractor remains on schedule to complete the roundabout project this Spring.
