An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) project on SR-10 in Butler County begins Monday, April 6 weather permitting.

The project will take place on SR-10 between South Mt. Zion Road and Damascus Road.

Motorists should expect lane closures and reduced speed limits throughout the project. ALDOT urges drivers to plan accordingly and remain cautious around people and equipment in the work zone.

The approximately $800,000 project was awarded to APAC-Alabama, Inc., out of Birmingham, who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements.  The project is expected to be completed by the end of summer 2026.
