The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to resurface SR-219 in Perry County from the Dallas County line to north of the County Road 32 intersection.
The 8.32-mile project is expected to begin Wednesday, June 10 and will continue until fall, weather permitting. A pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone.
Asphalt Contractors was awarded the project at $1.79 million.
Motorists should expect possible delays and are encouraged to observe work-zone speed limits.
