Contractors will begin daytime lane closures Monday, June 8, on the I-85 resurfacing project in Montgomery.
Intermittent lane closures will be in place on I-85 northbound and southbound from Ann Street to Eastern Boulevard.
The lane closures will occur daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for crews to apply a high-density mineral bond to reinforce the road’s shoulders. This specific pavement material requires daytime temperatures and sunlight to cure properly.
This daytime work is expected to take approximately two weeks, weather permitting.
Travelers should expect delays and plan accordingly. Drivers should observe the posted speed limit and be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone.
