The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to resurface and install guardrail on SR-124 from the intersection of SR-118 to the intersection of SR-69 southwest of Jasper to improve mobility and safety.
The 10.8-mile project is expected to begin Thursday, July 9 and will continue until fall, weather permitting. A pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone.
Drivers should expect possible delays and are encouraged to observe work-zone speed limits.
Wiregrass Construction Company was awarded the project at $3.34 million.
