The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will host a come-and-go public involvement meeting at Southside Baptist Church to discuss a proposed roadway project to improve safety on SR-171 in Fayette.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 6, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Attendees can view exhibits and speak with ALDOT representatives regarding the project.
The project involves a roundabout at the intersection of SR-171, Temple Avenue South and 11th Street Southwest. The roundabout will allow for all legs of the intersection to function as one unit to reduce potential crashes.
Project maps and comment forms are also available online for those unable to attend.
