The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to resurface SR-102 in Fayette County from the intersection of SR-13 to the Walker County line to improve mobility and safety.
The 8.1-mile project is expected to begin Tuesday, Aug. 11, and will continue until the end of the year, weather permitting. A pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone.
Drivers should expect possible delays and are encouraged to observe work-zone speed limits.
S.T. Bunn Construction Company was awarded the project at $3.45 million.
