The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to resurface SR-17 from the intersection of Dillburg Road to the courthouse square in Carrollton to improve mobility and safety.
The 4.7-mile project is expected to begin Monday, Aug. 17, and will continue until the end of the year, weather permitting. A pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone.
Drivers should expect possible delays and are encouraged to observe work-zone speed limits.
S.T. Bunn Construction Company was awarded the project at $2.49 million.
