The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will begin removal of the traffic signal at the intersection of US-29 and Academy Street in downtown Troy on Wednesday, Aug. 19, weather permitting.
Stop signs will be installed on Academy Street and the signal will be in flashing mode for one week.
ALDOT will remove all signal equipment at a later date.
