The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will close the second lane from the right on I-65 south on the Alabama River Bridge on Thursday, Sept. 17, weather permitting.
The lane closure will begin at approximately 8 p.m. to allow crews to safely perform necessary bridge deck repairs. The two left lanes on I-65 south and the on ramp from Northern Boulevard (SR-152) will remain open.
ALDOT urges drivers to plan accordingly for possible delays and be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone.
