The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to resurface a portion of SR-61 in Hale County from County Road 48 to the SR-14 intersection southeast of Greensboro.
The 6.3-mile project is expected to begin Tuesday, Nov. 3, and will continue until early 2027, weather permitting.
A pilot car will guide traffic through the work zone. Drivers should expect possible delays and are encouraged to use caution in the work zone.
APAC-Alabama was awarded the project at $2.62 million.
