Old Railroad Bed Road just east of SR-53 in Madison County will temporarily close from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, July 12, for drainage pipe installation.
Motorists may use Toney Road as an alternate route.
The work is part of $3.2 million project to improve three intersections on SR-53 with turn lanes and signal upgrades funded through the Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program-II. The Rebuild Alabama Act created the program to advance projects of local interest on state routes. Local sponsor Madison County provided matching funds.
