The Alabama Department of Transportation resurfacing project on US-29 in Andalusia starts Monday, August 5, weather permitting.
The project extends from US-84 to Max Barton Road.
Motorists should expect lane closures and reduced speed limits throughout the project. ALDOT urges drivers to plan accordingly and be mindful around workers and equipment.
The approximately $1 million project was awarded to Wiregrass Construction Company, Inc., out of Dothan, who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements. The project is expected to be completed early fall 2024.
