Etowah County — Overnight, crews treated some trouble spots on SR-211.
Madison County — Overnight, crews treated some trouble spots on SR-255. This morning, crews have been blading further snow/ice from the road shoulders in some locations.
Lauderdale County — Overnight, crews re-treated bridges at Elk River and Second Creek on US-72, and at Burcham Creek on SR-20.
UPDATE: Jan. 11, 5:30 p.m.
Cherokee, Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Etowah, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan counties — With travel lanes on all routes mostly clear of snow, plowing and treatment operations have ceased in all counties. Crews will be prepared to respond to trouble areas appearing overnight. Very low temperatures tonight, particularly in the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 12, are expected to refreeze any water pooled on pavements, forming hazardous “black ice.” Please drive with extreme caution. Reduce speed, and remain especially wary of bridges, ramps, turn lanes, acceleration lanes and crossovers, as well as hillsides and any areas that stay heavily shaded during daytime.

Cherokee, Colbert, Cullman, DeKalb, Etowah, Franklin, Jackson, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone, Madison, Marshall, and Morgan counties — Few travel issues reported overnight. Motorists advised to drive with caution and at reduced speeds. Turn lanes, acceleration lanes and crossovers may remain icy. Crews clearing remaining snow and slush and treating wet/known problem areas.

Cullman County
All lanes of I-65 are clear. All travel lanes on other routes are clear of snow. Crews continue to work to remove the remaining slush.
Marshall County
Crews are plowing the remaining slush from roadways. Currently working on SR-69 between Arab and Guntersville and US-231 in Arab.
UPDATE: Jan. 10, 4:13 p.m.
Jackson and DeKalb counties
Crews are plowing snow and slush on all routes and treating hard-packed and shaded areas with rock salt to assist with blading operations.
At this time, all lanes of I-59 are clear.
Crews are treating areas on SR-35 from SR-79 to US-72, SR-79 from Goose Pond south to Marshall County, and SR-227 from MM 13.25 to MM 21.67
Etowah and Cherokee counties
I-59 northbound and southbound outside lanes are clear of snow and trouble areas have been treated with salt.
All other 4-lane routes have the outside lanes cleared. All 2-lane routes have been plowed, with salt treatment in known trouble areas.
Madison County
Most routes have at least one lane clear in each direction. Most lanes of I-565 were plowed, but crews were working to remove the remaining slush from the roadway. Crews also treated problem areas on US-72 East and US-431 on Monte Sano.
Lauderdale, Colbert, Lawrence, Franklin, Morgan and Limestone counties
All lanes on interstates and most primary state routes have been cleared. Crews have started treating secondary routes. Treatment operations are anticipated to continue into the evening.

Some lanes have been cleared of snow on most major routes, but the pavement remains wet, as can be seen here on SR-255/Research Park Boulevard in Huntsville. Beware of refreezing tonight!

ALDOT crews are plowing and spreading salt on roadways across northwest Alabama. However, snowfall is continuing.
