The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will close the southbound (right) lane of Hwy 31 in Vestavia in Jefferson County for tree removal at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 24, weather permitting.
The tree removal will be between MP 225.948 and MP 237.530.
The lane is expected to re-open by 4:00 p.m.
Motorists are requested to observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this Maintenance Operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
