Each year, skilled heavy equipment operators from the Alabama Department of Transportation come together to showcase their expertise in the annual ROADeo competition.

This event highlights precision, control, and mastery across a range of machinery, including the Single-Axle Dump Truck, Tandem-Axle Dump Truck, Backhoe, Motor Grader, Skid Steer, Lowboy, and Tractor.

Competitors face a series of demanding challenges, from parallel parking and tight cone navigation to the unique “golf ball with a spoon” test and complex obstacle courses.
