Nighttime resurfacing of SR-67/Beltline Road in Decatur will begin the evening of Sunday, June 8, weather permitting.

Grayson Carter and Son, the contractor on the $3.3 million project, will resurface nearly five miles of SR-67 from US-31/Sixth Avenue Southeast to SR-24/Gordon Terry Parkway.

Nightly lane closures

Motorists should expect lane closures from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly, Sunday nights through Thursday nights. A minimum of one lane in each direction will remain open.

In the first phase of the project, the contractor will mill and pave SR-67 from US-31 to Danville Road only. Once that segment is substantially completed, the contractor will resurface the remaining segment from Danville Road to SR-24.

ALDOT anticipates completion in early fall.
