The Bibb Graves Bridge in downtown Wetumpka will be closed beginning Tues., Sept. 2, at 7 a.m.
The bridge will be closed for approximately one week while crews repair damage sustained on Aug. 15.
The contractor expects to progress continuously, weather permitting, until completion.
A signed detour utilizing SR-14 and US-231 will be in place. Travelers should expect delays and seek alternate routes, if available.
ALDOT awarded the contract for repairs to Newell & Bush, Inc., out of Montgomery, Ala.
