A US-80 resurfacing project in Selma begins Monday, Sept. 8.
The project includes resurfacing, guardrail installation, and traffic striping on US-80 from the Edmund Pettis Bridge to CR-43.
The project will have intermittent lane closures so drivers should plan accordingly for possible delays.
ALDOT urges drivers to drive the posted speed limit and be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone.
The approximately $5.4 million project was awarded to Asphalt Contractors, Inc., out of Montgomery, who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements. The project is expected to be completed by Spring 2026.
