Left turn lanes from North Memorial Parkway to Mastin Lake Road reopen

Signals positioned under the overpass govern the left turn lanes from North Memorial Parkway to Mastin Lake Road.

The left turn lanes from the US-231/US-431/North Memorial Parkway service roads to Mastin Lake Road reopened today.

The northbound and southbound turn lanes closed in December for construction of the parkway overpass at Mastin Lake Road.

Planned lane closures on US-280

Beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will close the right lane of US-280 westbound and eastbound in Jefferson County for widening between Shades Creek Parkway and the I-459 interchange.

Demolition began today on the old bridge on SR-75 over Town Creek in DeKalb County.

Demolition of the 83-year-old bridge on SR-75 over Town Creek at Lakeview in DeKalb County began today.

Pavement preservation project on I-65 in Butler County begins this week

An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) pavement preservation project on I-65 in Butler County begins Thursday, July 31, weather permitting.

The project, which features micro-fine milling, resurfacing and traffic striping, will take place on I-65 from just north of the Conecuh County line to just south of Panther Creek Road, north of Georgiana.

Bankhead Tunnel to close for nightly lighting upgrade work

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will begin Phase 2 of electrical and lighting system upgrades in the Bankhead Tunnel on Monday, August 4, continuing efforts to modernize and improve the tunnel’s infrastructure.

Resurfacing project on US-98 in Barnwell begins August 30
