The project features operational improvements (grading, drainage, pavement, traffic signals and traffic stripe) on SR-35 from the junction of Dewyer Avenue to the junction of Prestwood Drive, including intersection improvements at Jordan Road/Airport Road, the I-59 interchange ramps at Exit 218, and Briarwood Avenue.
This project will reconstruct and rehabilitate 16 miles of I-59 southbound, from the Georgia state line to about a mile north of the US-11 overpass in Fort Payne.

This project will replace the bridge on SR-75 at Town Creek in Lakeview in DeKalb County, near the Marshall County line. The old bridge will remain open to traffic during construction. It will be demolished after completion of the new bridge.
