ALDOT crews remove storm debris from SR-40 between SR-71 and SR-75 in Jackson County.

ALDOT and other responders worked Thursday to clear highways in Jackson and DeKalb counties following overnight storms and a tornado.

The Alabama Department of Transportation opened bids Friday for three north Alabama resurfacing projects totaling more than $9 million.
