Construction of the crossover at the north end of the $40.7 million I-50 reconstruction project, just south of Exit 205 at Collinsville in DeKalb County. Southbound traffic shifted this afternoon to the northbound roadway, via this crossover, and will remain shifted for about a year while five miles of the southbound roadway undergo reconstruction by contractor Vulcan Materials.
Southbound traffic on I-59 south of Collinsville in DeKalb County shifted this afternoon to one lane of the northbound roadway.
The southbound roadway from just south of Exit 205 at SR-68 in Collinsville to milepost 199.5 will remain closed for about a year for reconstruction.
