SR-157 at SR-36 to be striped to improve safety

ALDOT plans to add striping and signs to improve safety at SR-157 and SR-36 in Lawrence County.

To improve safety, ALDOT will modify the intersection of SR-157 and SR-36 in Lawrence County with striping and signs this week.

ALDOT anticipates contractor TRP Infrastructure Services starting sign installation and paint work Wednesday, Aug. 26. Further striping will take place Friday, Aug. 28, and Saturday, Aug. 29.

Nighttime resurfacing of SR-157/Helton Drive in Florence to begin

Drums line the shoulder of SR-157/Helton Drive northbound in Florence approaching Huntsville Road.

Nighttime resurfacing of SR-157/Helton Drive in Florence will begin the evening of Sunday, Sept. 21, weather permitting.

The $1,166,350 project includes milling and resurfacing more than a mile of SR-157 from Huntsville Road to Hermitage Drive.
