Crews respond to storm damage near Henager

ALDOT and other responders worked Thursday to clear highways in Jackson and DeKalb counties following overnight storms and a tornado.

Part of SR-40 in Jackson County near Henager remained closed to traffic. The area, between SR-71 and SR-75, was filled with downed trees, powerlines, and debris.

ALDOT responded late Wednesday to begin removing fallen trees after a tornado struck. Utility crews were working to address broken utility poles and downed powerlines.
