The annual Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) state ROADeo was held May 15 in Montgomery. This competition puts ALDOT’s most skilled equipment operators to the test. These operators competed in various categories, showcasing their expertise in maneuvering large vehicles and equipment through challenging courses and demonstrating their ability to operate efficiently, precisely, and safely. ROADeo participants won their regional events to earn the opportunity to compete at the state level.
Contestants competed in one of the seven equipment categories:
– Tractor Truck with Lowboy Trailer
– Tandem Axle Dump Truck
– Backhoe
– Single Axle Dump Truck
