ALDOT continues relief efforts in Florida

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) continues to work alongside the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to clear roadways following the impacts of Hurricanes Milton and Helene.

ALDOT has been on site since October 12 and currently stationed at the Manatee Operations Center in Bradenton, Fla. where crews have been assigned to various areas in Sarasota County to assist with debris removal.

Crews hauled 135 loads of roadside debris on Monday and plan to finish clearing all state routes in Sarasota County by Wednesday night.

The partnership between ALDOT and FDOT is helping restore essential roadways and enhance safety.
