Contractor to patch I-565 within widening project

Jan 16

Contractor Wiregrass Construction will patch I-565 westbound from west of County Line Road to east of Wall Triana Highway in Madison on Friday, Jan. 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should expect single lane closures and delays during this operation.

Though ALDOT does not typically permit daytime lane closures related to the I-565 widening project in eastern Limestone County and western Madison County, nighttime temperatures are currently too cold for paving. The pothole repairs are timed to avoid impacting traffic during peak travel hours.

Additional patching will be necessary on the eastbound roadway as well as the westbound roadway. However, conditions will not permit further patching until Thursday, Jan. 23, and Friday, Jan. 24. The contractor currently anticipates patching during the same timeframe on those two days, weather permitting.
