The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will host a come-and-go style public meeting at the Northport Free Will Baptist Church to discuss a potential project on Lurleen Wallace Boulevard (SR-69) from the 5th Street intersection to Northwood Lake Drive in Northport.
The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 6 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. where members of the public can ask questions and view exhibits regarding the proposed project.
ALDOT plans to improve traffic flow, upgrade traffic signals and enhance safety by managing roadway access. This may include modifications to driveways, intersections, turn lanes and medians by balancing efficient traffic movement with safe access to adjacent businesses and side streets.
This stretch of Lurleen Wallace Boulevard plays a critical role in north-south mobility as approximately 40,000 vehicles use this daily.
Northport Free Will Baptist Church is located at 2401 Lurleen Wallace Boulevard, Northport, AL 35476.
