Weather permitting, beginning at 9 a.m. Monday and Tuesday, March 17th and 18th, the Alabama Department of Transportation will be performing pavement testing on I-20 eastbound and westbound from MP 147.700 (just east of Exit 147) to MP 164.820 (west end of the bridge over the Coosa River).
- Work will take place between 9:a.m. and 3 p.m.
- Various mainline lanes and shoulders will be temporarily closed throughout the operation. Only one lane will be closed at a time in either direction.
Motorists can expect delays during these operations. Motorists are also requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times, observe work zone speed limits and other work zone signs, and use extreme caution in this area.
