An ALDOT resurfacing project on SR-137 in Covington County begins Tuesday, May 13, weather permitting. ALDOT will begin placing signs to alert the traveling public to the road project on Friday, May 9.

The project will take place on SR-137 from the Florida state line to the junction of SR-15.

This project includes resurfacing and traffic stripe.

Motorists should expect lane closures and reduced speed limits throughout the project. ALDOT urges drivers to plan accordingly and remain cautious around people and equipment in the work zone.

The approximately $1.8 million project was awarded to Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc., out of Hammonton, NJ, who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements.  The project is expected to be completed in Summer 2025.
