Weather permitting, on Sunday, June 22, at 10:30 p.m., US-31 in Vestavia Hills will be closed from Waldridge Road to Merryvale Road to set a pedestrian bridge. Lanes will re-open by 6 a.m. the following morning.
Local traffic only will be allowed to detour on Waldridge Road and Merryvale Road per Vestavia Hills.
Motorists are requested to use alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times and observe work zone speed limits. Motorists should also observe other work zone signs and use extreme caution in this area. For real time traffic updates, visit ALGOTraffic.com.
