The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to resurface and place new guardrail on a portion of Interstate 20/59 from the Greene County line to near Exit 62 in Tuscaloosa County to improve mobility and safety.
The seven-mile project is expected to begin Monday, July 28 and will continue until late fall, weather permitting. At least one lane on I-20/59 will remain open in each direction throughout the project.
Drivers should expect possible delays and are encouraged to observe work-zone speed limits.
S.T. Bunn Construction Company was awarded the project at $3.22 million.
