The Alabama Department of Transportation will be performing resurfacing, guardrail and end anchor installation, full bridge rail retrofit, bridge guardrail retrofit, traffic striping, and centerline scoring along SR-77 from the Talladega County Line to the Etowah County Line.
This project will require daily lane closures of SR-77 within the Milepost range given during the resurfacing phase. It will also have intermittent lane closures for the other items of work.
The project began on June 30, and is scheduled to be completed in the Fall of 2025.
Motorists should adjust arrival/departure times. Please observe work zone speed limits, work zone signs, and use caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this project to improve Alabama’s roadways.
