Repairs to the I-85 south bridge near exit 38 in Macon County will begin on Monday.
The inside lane will be closed intermittently while work is begin performed, approximately one week.
The bridge railing was damaged during a crash in the early hours of Aug. 13.
Motorists should plan accordingly for delays and use alternate routes if possible. Drivers are advised to be cautious of workers and equipment in the work zone.
ALDOT awarded the contract for repairs to The Bridge Builders of Alabama, LLC, out of Pelham, Ala.
