The contractor for an Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) resurfacing project began installing cable rail and making repairs to damaged guardrail on US-80 in Phenix City today.
Crews will be working on US-80 from US-280 to the Chattahoochee River Bridge. Work is expected to take approximately two to three weeks.
Motorists should expect lane closures and plan accordingly for delays.
ALDOT urges drivers to remain cautious around people and equipment in the work zone.
