Drivers traveling I-65 northbound across the General W.K. Wilson Jr. Bridge (Delta Bridge) should prepare for lane closures in September as crews work to replace bridge joints within the arch span.

McInnis Construction LLC will perform the work on behalf of the Alabama Department of Transportation. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and expect possible delays.
Scheduled lane closures:
- Northbound left lane: Closed continuously from Sunday, Sept. 7, at 9 p.m. until Friday, Sept. 12, at 5 a.m.
- Northbound right lane: Closed continuously from Sunday, Sept. 14, at 9 p.m. until Friday, Sept. 19, at 5 a.m.

Additional information for drivers:
- There will be no active permits for loads greater than 12 feet wide during the project.
- Work is weather permitting, and motorists are asked to drive with caution in the work zone.
ALDOT reminds everyone to reduce speed and stay alert when approaching and traveling through the Delta Bridge during these closures.
