The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) plans to close a section of SR-14 at the I-20/59 Exit 40 interchange in Eutaw to install an Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) pole and camera.
Work is scheduled to begin Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m., and continue until Wednesday, Sept. 24 at 5 a.m., weather permitting.
From 8 p.m. until midnight, there will be a single-lane closure on SR-14 eastbound with flaggers present to direct traffic. From midnight until 5 a.m., all SR-14 lanes on the bridge between the interstate ramps will be closed to traffic.
During the closure, SR-14 eastbound traffic will detour onto I-20/59 to Exit 32, while SR-14 westbound traffic will detour onto I-20/59 to Exit 45.
