The new SR-50 bridge over Wind Creek in Tallapoosa County is now open to traffic.
The bridge is located 2.5 miles east of Martin Dam, northwest of Reeltown.
Crews shifted traffic from the original 1952 span to its replacement on Friday, October 10.
The $3.4M project began in summer 2024.
With the new structure in place, the contractor is in the process of demolishing the old bridge.
That work should be completed by the end of the year.
