The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will host a come-and-go style public involvement meeting to discuss a potential project on US-31 involving plans for access management, sidewalk improvements and resurfacing.
The access management upgrades are proposed for the section of US-31 between Old Montgomery Highway and Ventura Avenue.
The resurfacing would be carried out between Hollywood Boulevard and Shades Crest Road.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 28, 2025, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. At this meeting, the public can ask questions and view project information and maps.
Construction could begin by Spring 2026 and last up to nine months.

The deadline for public comments about this project is on or before November 14, 2025.
