The I-65 resurfacing project in Montgomery County will require daytime lane closures throughout the weekend beginning, Saturday, Nov. 1.
Work has been limited to the evening hours but due to seasonal and weather limitiations, daytime work is necessary to keep the project on schedule.
The resurfacing project began in August 2025 and is expected to be complete in Spring 2026.
The project includes resurfacing, guardrail installation and traffic striping on I-65 from Pintlala Creek to exit 167 (US-80).
ALDOT urges drivers to obey the posted speed limit and be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone.
