The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) resurfacing project on SR-165 in Eufaula begins Monday, March 2, weather permitting.

The project includes resurfacing, guardrail installation and traffic striping on SR-165 in Eufaula from US-431 to the Russell County line.

Motorists should expect lane closures and reduced speed limits throughout the project. ALDOT urges drivers to plan accordingly and be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone.

The approximately $2 million project was awarded to APAC-Alabama, Inc., out of Birmingham, Ala., who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2026.
