The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) resurfacing project on SR-103 in Slocomb begins Tuesday, March 24, weather permitting.

The project includes resurfacing SR-103 in Slocomb from SR-52 to the Florida state line.

Motorists should expect lane closures and reduced speed limits throughout the project. ALDOT urges drivers to plan accordingly and be mindful of people and equipment in the work zone.

The approximately $1.6 million project was awarded to Wiregrass Construction Company, Inc., out of Dothan, Ala., who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements. The project is expected to be completed in summer 2026.
