The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will modify the traffic signal at the intersection of US-431 and SR-165 in Phenix City beginning Wednesday, April 1, weather permitting.
ALDOT will remove the current flashing yellow arrow and replace it with a protected only signal. Once implemented, motorists may only turn left when a steady green arrow is displayed. ALDOT is making this change to enhance safety at the intersection.
ALDOT urges drivers to remain mindful of people and equipment in the area as crews perform signal work.
