An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) resurfacing project on US-80 (Selma Highway) in Montgomery begins Monday, April 6 weather permitting.

The project will take place on US-80 from Felder Road to I-65 in Montgomery.

This project includes resurfacing and guardrail installation.

Motorists should expect lane closures and reduced speed limits throughout the project. ALDOT urges drivers to plan accordingly and remain cautious around people and equipment in the work zone.

The approximately $4.5 million project was awarded to Asphalt Contractors, Inc., out of Montgomery, who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements.  The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.
